Booterra

Welcome to Booterra; a planet in a distant galaxy that is full of life and splendor. This planet is populated by Bunnaboos, Booverns, Squiboos, and many more alien lifeforms. However of all the lifeforms found on Booterra, the 3 listed have been confirmed to be the only ones capable of learning speech patterns and languages from other species such as humans.
Much like Earth, Booterra has numerous biomes with most being habitable. From Arctic tundras to sweltering deserts, and even a relaxing oasis or two. Various creatures can be found in certain areas if you know where to look. Alternatively, some species found on Booterra have adapted to live almost anywhere.
Booterra also has deep oceans, most of which has yet to be explored. Thanks to some of the Squiboo population, we have knowledge of at least one area beneath the waves where the Squiboos call home. Though we believe there are likely other Squiboo settlements and possibly even other intelligent lifeforms that could be found with more research.
Family and Reproduction
Boos are naturally social creatures. It is very rare to find one isolating or living in solitary away from others that live in various cities and settlements around Booterra. While each Boo does have their own individual personalities, as well as things they like or dislike, it is fair to say that the vast majority of Boos do believe in lending a helping hand when they can. They once heard the saying "it takes a village" and have fully embraced that mentality in most aspects of their lives.
This is especially true when they have families of their own; as all Boos are capable of laying and fertilizing eggs regardless of their presented gender. Boos are also capable of asexual reproduction if they choose to fertilize their own egg, thus creating a mini clone of themselves.
Boo eggs are able to be fertilized by creatures outside of their species, though the resulting Kit ends up displaying traits of only 1 species (i.e. if a Bunnaboo egg is fertilized by a Boovern, the kit will be either a Bunnaboo OR a Boovern. They will not show Boovern only aspects on a Bunnaboo or vice versa.) There are many inter-species families on Booterra and many Boos also choose to create their own chosen families through adoption. In cases of adoption, the process usually occurs before the egg hatches. In rare occasions, an adoption will occur with younger kit(s). Those type of adoptions typically happen if their parent(s) are no longer able to care for them for some reason.
Life Stages
Bunnaboos start out as eggs, and with the help of Gideon's incubators proceed to hatch into *kits*. Kits are taken care of completely by adult Bunnaboos until they reach about 6yrs old. After that, for the next few years they begin to develop more skills that lead them to being self-sufficient and independent while being guided by adults instead of cared for. When they reach 18yrs old, they are deemed adults and should be able to be fully independent. (May vary from Boo to Boo, much like humans.) Until the age of 18, they are still considered Kits.
It should be noted that kits are unable to transform into Terra forms until they are 18 years old due to a genetic predisposition that prevents them from transforming before their regular bodies (boo forms) are done developing.
Their lifespans are pretty similar to humans, with the average Bunnaboo making it to 85-90yrs old. There are a few Boos that have hit over 100yrs but it's not typical for them to do so.
Sizing
Boo forms are 1-4ft tall and roughly weigh similar to human toddlers of that size. It is estimated that Boos are probably around 20-50lbs on average. There is some variance for different body types though, as there can be chubby Boos and thinner Boos. Terra forms typically follow more human height and weight averages but that can also vary depending on the boo. If they keep the bigger paws in their terra forms opposed to morphing them into human arms (which is always an option), their general mass increases slightly due to the size of the paws. Additionally much like humans, some boos might be just really small or really big in their terra forms.
