The Holidays are upon us~

Unfortunately these next few months are going to be a little quieter. With xBelial returning to work full time, the group will be going from having events every 2 months to having more sporadic events in order to prioritize developing world lore, fixing the site more.

So what is coming this month?
There is a new Daily to collect in December. What kind of daily? An Advent Calendar of course! Be sure to claim them all in order to get day 24, it's worth it. If you miss a day, you will be behind a day on your claims. For example, if you miss claiming on day 3, then the reward you get on day 4 will be the day 3 reward. It only counts claims not the actual date due to a minor code bug that I wasn't able to fix..... So you'll need all 24 days consectutively to get the big gift on the 24th. 

Additionally, we will be hosting a big free-to-participate design swap!
How to participate? Simply design a Boo (Bunnaboo, Boovern, or Squiboo) and submit it to the Design Swap Gallery before December 25th. There is no limit on number of traits, but please keep in mind some members may struggle with designs that are heavily detailed. On December 25th, every design will be raffled off to a new home. You will not be able to win your own design, but everyone who designs a boo for the swap will walk away with a new boo designed by someone else.

Please feel free to use our F2U Bases to design a boo for the swap if you'd like to use a base. 

We know this month isn't as eventful as we had hoped to make it....
Hopefully you all can forgive us.

The leaves have begun to fall and darkness creeps across Booterra as a mysterious fog blankets the planet.

While some boos, such as Melusine, are giddily anticipating the darkness; others are dreading it's arrival and the unknown it is bringing with it. For the fog that comes is no ordinary fog. The fog is thick and dense, preventing sunlight from getting through, leaving the planet in a period of endless night.... But where did this fog come from?

A strange pair of unknown Boos located an ancient tome dedicated to black magic on the shores of the Isle of the Dead. The same island that is home to the Sacred Tombs and all the resting souls of the deceased. Thinking it interesting, they challenged themselves to perform one of the rituals depicted within the pages; the summoning. The pair of boos thought they were simply going to raise one of the dead, however the ritual was stronger than they thought. The island shook as if affected by a quake, and fog began to rise from the entrance of the tomb. As the fog spread, the resting spirits became agitated as they were forced from the astral plane back into the living realm. Angry and confused, the spirits began to roam. They took the forms of Ghosts, Zombies, and Skeletons as they spread across Booterra.

Will you cower during the Boopocalypse? Or will you figure out a way to survive?

Results of the Land vs sea event

The event really kicked off in the final stretch! But it's time to announce the winning team and the MVPs. Let's see the totals for each team:
Team Land = 115 points

Participants, please comment below to claim your choice of trait brew. Since it is a tie, everyone will get the winning team prize! You may choose 2 brews, as well as claim a myo for your choice of species (Bunnaboo, Boovern, or Squiboo).

As for MVPs.... bearysorbet is our Team Land MVP with a total of 95 points! And over on Team Sea we have Kaeilia with a total of 90 points! MVPs, in your comments below to claim your prizes, please let us know if you with to claim an unlimited MYO or an unlimited custom (boo form only). I wanted to drop a reminder about the Land vs Sea mini Artfight event for the small handful of members who signed up. You have until October 1st to get all your attacks in. Please note that if you signed up and do not complete an attack, you will not receive the participation rewards as you did not participate despite signing up. Additionally, in case it was missed or forgotten, the rewards are as follows;

The raffles for the green and red fluffmite keychains shown in image below are up! Please feel free to enter on site. These items will be shipped to you, so please be aware that a shipping address will need to be given in order to claim the keychain you won. You can enter for both but can only win 1. Best of luck! The time has come, and what an exciting time it is. Booterra is bringing you physical merch that you can have shipped to you!

Currently, we are starting off small and offering fluffmite keychains for $5 USD. Made using heatshrink plastic and coloured pencils, these fluffmites can have customized colours and expressions, and even come with a cute coloured tassel. We plan to work on releasing a set of NPC Keychains over the next few weeks, but for now the fluffmites are available for order over on Ko-Fi. >> CLICK HERE << to pop over to the Ko-Fi shop.

It's been a busy summer, especially with Artfight going on.
As such, the team regretfully acknowledges that we do not have a new event planned for August-September....

With that being said, we have decided to extend the current event prompts to run until October 1st, so you still have plenty of time to complete the 2-part event prompt to get a free Squiboo MYO if you haven't already done so.

Additionally, the Land vs Sea mini Artfight event will also be continuing on! You have until September 1st to sign up and you have until October 1st to get all your attacks in. Please feel free to comment below to sign up and get assigned a team.

A reminder that all Land vs Sea attacks will need to be posted on site in the Land vs Sea gallery folder, then submitted through prompts to earn Event Points (EPs). At the end of the event, we will tally up the EPs for each team as a whole to determine the winning team. Every participant will get a reward of 3000 Moonstones + a Brew of their choice, however members of the winning team will get 5000 Moonstones + 2 Brews of their choosing and a MYO ticket. Additionally the MVP from each team will be awarded with the option of an unlimited Boo form only custom OR an unlimited MYO. *Note; The MVPs may choose to gift this reward to someone else if they would like.*

The team has recieved your feedback and we want to assure you that we are taking everything into consideration. Currently we are working towards putting more world lore on site, sprucing up the prompts, and adding some delightful details to item descriptions. This will take precendence over adopt designs for the next 2 months.

Recently, due to personal reasons, some mods have officially stepped down from the team. We will miss their energy on the team, however we wish them all the best going forward. 

Moving forward though, we have added 3 new mods to the team;

Kaeilia

They will be assisting with item descriptions, location descriptions, and art assets. Some of which have already been added on site.

The sun is shining and the ocean is calling!

The beginning of June marks the beginning the next event; The Lost City of Calypso's Crescent. 

 Bunnaboos and Booverns from far and wide have traveled to the Opaline Coast to enjoy the clear, cool waters. Whether they enjoy swimming, boating, or fishing; the coastline is a fan favourite in terms of location. However maybe it's time for Boos to look a bit further under the surface.... check out the new event prompts to start your deep dive into the Calypso Sea.

Melusine will not have many brews in stock this month, as even she enjoys floating around in the water, but she has decided to stock an item or 2 for the boos that desire something new. On the other hand, the Paguros have re-emerged and Mothball has made them available at her shop again, along with some colourful Goomites. Chip's shop is still under construction, but we hope to repurpose his shop to sell various avatar borders that you can equip through your settings page. We appreciate your patience as we work on getting various fun borders ready for everyboo.

Furthermore, Booterra will be having a small event similar to art fight from June 15th til September 1st. This is a separate event and members who wish to join in will be randomly assigned to team Land or team Sea. Please comment below if you'd like to join the event. You may sign up at any time during the month of June, even after the event starts. All attacks will need to be posted on site in the gallery, then submitted through prompts to earn Event Points (EPs). At the end of the event, we will tally up the EPs for each team as a whole to determine the winning team. On the same day, the adoption center will be getting restocked with some designs available for moonstones. I promise there will be plenty of chances to snag a new boo this month, even if USD sales aren't your thing. We hope you are looking forward to seeing all the new boos~!
